Do I need a boat licence to hire the boat?

You will need to provide an Australian Boat Operators licence and Australian Driver’s licence to hire the boat.

Is the boat on a trailer?

Yes, you will need a vehicle that is fitted with a towbar and towball. Cords will be provided to suit any Australian trailer light socket.

There is a Walk on walk off Hire that can be arranged on weekends. Taking the trailer out of the equation.

Do I need to provide fuel?

The boat is delivered with a full tank of unleaded fuel. The boat must be returned with a full tank of unleaded fuel.

If you opt for a Walk on walk off Hire, the fuel is included and you will not have to return the boat with a full tank of unleaded fuel. 

Where can I take the boat in water?

The boat is restricted to partially smooth and smooth waters. These limits are marked in purple on the map provided to you in a booklet called 4D Operational Limits and is located in the side pocket of the boat.

Can I take the boat to other locations?

Where can I launch the boat?

The easiest launching options are: Ceduna Puckridge Boat Ramp and Smoky Bay Boat Ramp. A District Council of Ceduna Boat Ramp Permit is included with your hire.

Can I hire fishing equipment?

Fishing rods, handlines, crab nets and eskies can be hired at an extra cost.

 Can I use the boat for knee boarding, wakeboarding or waterskiing?

No water skiing or towing of equipment or persons is permitted behind the boat.

Do I need to clean the boat?

The boat is expected to be returned in the same manner in which it was delivered. If the boat is returned without being cleaned, a cleaning charge of $88.00 will be deducted from your bond.

 What will happen if the weather turns bad when I have booked the boat?
